Mini Gourmet Pops Unveiled
Original Gourmet Food Co. introduces 0.37-ounce deposited gourmet lollipops. The mini versions of the company’s signature one-ounce pops come in a wide selection of flavors and are available in pack sizes ranging from 2.9-ounce peg bags to 37-ounce standup bags.
They hold an original assortment that features both standard and cream flavors, and a Cream Swirl assortment including blueberries and cream, root beer float, peaches and cream and orange creamsicle.
They are made in the U.S., and are kosher-certified and peanut-free.
The company is also offering the pops in seasonal assortments for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

Chocolate, Caramels Have Caffeine
Milk chocolate and caramel bars debuting from Awake Chocolate have as much caffeine as a cup of coffee or a 250mL energy drink, while bite-sized pieces have 50mg of caffeine, the company claims.
The bite-sized products come in 10-piece bags with a SRP of $4.99, while the bars come in 12-ct displays and have a SRP of $1.99 each. Both items ship in six-ct cases.

Candies Have Candy Crush Saga Licenses
Inspired by Candy Crush Saga, Healthy Food Brands, LLC is debuting a line of items featuring shapes that resemble pieces from the hit mobile game.
Color Bombs are chocolatey pieces topped with multi-colored sprinkles and are available in three-ounce theater boxes and peg bags.
Mixed Fruit and sanded Sour Gummies feature blue raspberry, green apple, lemon, cherry, orange and grape. They pack in 3.5-ounce theater boxes and four-ounce peg bags.
The company is also offering jelly beans featuring the license in assorted mixed berry, cherry, peach, pear, butter popcorn and cotton candy. They come in seven and 3.5-ounce packs.
Packing in 2.5-ounce theater boxes and 4.2-ounce peg bags, Candy Crush licorice is also being introduced by the company. The rainbow-colored pieces have a strawberry outside with a watermelon filling.
All items pack in theater boxes and peg bags have a SRP range of 99 cents to $1.99 and ship in 12-ct cases and 92-ct shippers.
Healthy Food Brands is also offering popcorn tub-style packs holding an assortment of the licensed items for $6.99, and Candy Crush Giant Sweet Boxes holding 40-pouches of fruit and sour gummies, jelly fish and color bombs with a SRP of $9.99. Both multi-count packs ship three per case.

Licorice Is Gluten-Free
Claiming to be the first extruded gluten-free item in the subsegment, The Lovely Candy Co. is adding licorice to its line.
The bite-sized chewy candy is GMO-free and comes in cherry, cherry-strawberry and black, according to the company. Mike Nakamura, president and CEO, reports the licorice was developed to meet consumer demand for health-conscious items.
"We plan to develop and launch products that have evolved along with consumer needs and preferences," he says. "Today’s confectionery consumer is better educated and has increased demands."
Packing in five-ounce standup bags, the licorice has a SRP range of $2.99 to $3.99 and ships in 12-ct case.
Lovely Candy is also debuting Fudgee Rolls, bite-sized chocolatey chews in original and chocolate raspberry varieties. Coming in six-ounce bags with a SRP of $5.99, they ship in 12-ct cases.
