Hammond’s Extends Brittle Offerings
Thinner than classic brittle pieces, Brittle Crisps were introduced during the Sweets & Snacks Expo by Hammond’s Candies, LLC in six kosher and gluten-free varieties.
Andrew Schuman, company president and CEO, tells Candy & Snack TODAY the line has potential to add another 10 flavors to complement Hammond’s chocolate bar line. "The more variety you have, the better it merchandises," he adds.
The line includes peanut brittle with dark chocolate drizzle, coconut and spice, jalapeño and lime, sea salt caramel drizzle, cashew brittle with cayenne pepper and walnut maple brittle. Packing in nine-ounce boxes with a SRP range of $3.99 to $4.99, they ship in 12-ct displays.

Tim LeBel, vice-president of sales, told Candy & Snack TODAY the items will have a tiered rollout, with cranberry and blueberry being available in September, while cherry will be rolled out in January.
"This is a great product that really takes advantage of what consumers are looking for in quality, and the reclosable bags address another big trend right now," LeBel added.
