Wrigley Revamps Juicy Fruit, Altoids Offerings

Juicy Fruit Fruity Chews soft gum and Altoids Arctic Curiously Cool Mints are being introduced by Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co.

Available in sugarfree original and strawberry varieties, the soft gum comes in 40-ct bottle packs. With a SRP of $3.49, they ship in 16- and 24-ct cases.

Curiously Cool Mints feature a milder, cooling experience in peppermint and wintergreen varieties, according to Wrigley. Coming in 1.2-ounce tins with a SRP of $1.79, they ship 12 eight-ct trays per case.


Trending Flavors Featured In Nonni’s Biscotti

Mango Coconut Almond Thins have been added to the THINaddictives biscotti line from Nonni’s Foods LLC.

The company reports the product was developed to meet growing demand for tropical fruit flavors, citing data from the National Mango Board indicating consumption of the fruit has growing 53 percent since 2005 and export volume is anticipated to reach one billion pounds this year.

"Emerging trend research shows consumers are seeking more diverse flavors, with mango and coconut leading in popularity," adds Patricia Wong Bridges, brand-marketing manager for Nonni’s. In addition, the company reports coconut has become a mainstream flavor, in part because of its healthy attributes as recognized by national nutritional experts.

With 100 calories per serving, THINaddictives come in 4.44-ounce boxes that hold six packs. With a SRP of $3.29, they ship six per case.


Corn, Rice Snacks Have No Artificial Colors, Flavors

Crunchy Treasures and Fruity Booty baked rice and puffed corn snacks are new from B&G Foods, Inc.’s Pirate’s Booty brand.

Both items are made without artificial colors, flavors and preservatives, in addition to being gluten-, peanut-, and tree nut-free, the company claims.

Treasure pieces feature four pirate-themed shapes and are blended with white cheddar cheese, while Fruity Booty items are sprinkled with a sweet coating of raspberry flavor made from fruit.

Coming in four-ounce bags with a SRP of $2.99, the snacks ship in 12-ct cases.


Fruit, Nut Bars Are GE Ingredient-Free

Balance Bar Co. is debuting the Bare snack bar line, containing no genetically engineered ingredients and made with whole nuts and fruit.

Coming in Mixed Berry Nut, Sea Salt Caramel Nut and Sweet & Spicy Nut, the bars are certified gluten free and contain no soy, the company claims. In addition, two of the bars are dairy free.

The 1.19-ounce snack bars have a SRP of $1.69 and ship eight 15-ct boxes per case.
